Sennheiser HD25 Headphone Review

Sennheiser HD25
I've written a few hubs about headphones so far. Headphones are just one of those things I'm passionate about. I love how if I have the right pair of headphones I can hear little nuances in music that I've never noticed before. One experience I had like this was when I tried Sennheiser HD25 headphones. They're aimed squarely at the studio market so don't expect to see too many kids on the bus wearing them with their iPod's. Well to be honest, it wouldn't be totally unheard of. You will find a whole host of professionals using the HD 25 headphones however. If it's good enough for the professionals then you know its good enough for me! So what makes these headphones just so special? Read on to find out if they are the unit you need to crank up your music to the next level.

Sennheiser HD 25 Review
They're marketed as lightweight but professional headphones and they certainly live up to this tag. They're made for prolonged use hence the lightweight and exceptional comfort. These are one of my favorite types of headphones and I've used most in the past. One feature I love is how almost every part of the unit can be replaced if it gets worn or damaged. This means that you can keep the headphones long term. It's not something you would keep for a year and then throw away. Sennheiser want you to keep them and replace the broken parts which will hopefully save you money in the long run.

The comfort factor is exceptional. If you imagine working in a recording studio all day you'll have the headphones on for 5, 6 or maybe more hours every day. Comfort is of high importance in this kind of environment. If you're a budding DJ, you can take advantage of the swivel feature on the earpiece. You can keep the headphones on your hear and simply spin the ear piece around so you can hear the noise of the crowd or how the current track sounds.

As with all headphones, the most important factor is the sound quality which is absolutely superb. If you're marketing headphones for the studio market then they have to be something spectacular and the Sennheiser HD25 headphones certainly deliver. As I mentioned in the beginning, you will find you hear things you've never heard before in music tracks simply because the audio playback quality is so high.
In conclusion if you're looking for some high end studio headphones I would recommend the Sennheiser HD25 model. It comes with a 1.5 metre cable which is more than enough for studio use. Expect to pay anything up to $250 dollar for the privilege of using these headphones but in my opinion it's well worth the investment.
